Acupuncture and Depression
Astounding facts, but according to a high quality review in the Lancet, mental health problems are one of the main causes of the overall disease burden worldwide. (The Lancet. 386 (9995). pp. 743-800.)
It is also estimated that 1 in 6 people in the past week experienced a common mental health problem(source: Mental Health Foundation UK).
Take a look at this new research – A study conducted at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine demonstrated that acupuncture normalizes brain functions in patients with major depressive disorder (MDD). This was confirmed using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) brain scans. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO
